Thank you for purchasing the Dogbone 2.0! Do not throw the package away! It doubles as a drawer organizer. Remove the base, remove the protective film, add your DB2.0 stickers to it.

The side of the base that has the engraved center line goes UP. You will use this line, along with your laser projecting a line (USE SAFETY GLASSES), and with the included M6/M4 thumbscrews align your Dogbone 2.0 base!

Adding the "Tail" to the Lid Adapter
Once the base is aligned you can take the backstop and insert it into the jig. If it does not immediately insert, verify you have the base with the line side up! The two center risers can be installed as well. You can project a laser line down the center and verify everything is aligned.

You will set the tail on to the lid adapter. You will need to leave the bubble level in place. Set on top and twist 90 degrees as shown by the arrows on the piece. You DO NOT HAVE TO TORQUE. It should just go on snug.
If you need to change out the rings to another size and o-ring, use the Dogbone Tool (The thing that looks like a dogbone) and it is left to loosen, right to tighten, and DO NOT GRONK. Snug is all you need.
Leveling the work piece.
Insert the lid adapter on the appropriate tumbler (30oz is pictured). You will then adjust the risers to level the tumbler (or item) for the area you are intending to laser. You will set the tail on each wing and adjust the tail to be level on each side. With all the bubble levels centered, simply adjust your focus, follow all your laser manufacturers safety precautions, wear the right PPE, use appropriate smoke/VOC/partical mitigation, and laser the top. Flip to other side. Laser the bottom.
Swapping to the in/out/up/down wings
The wing tops turn and allow you to put them facing in or out. You do not need to gronk them or torque them. They are easily swapped by hand. If you take the tops of the wings off, you can put them on the In/out adapters. There are four (4) in our kit. They go on just like the top of the wings and now you can adjust to the work piece in/out/up/down as necessary.
